SHUFE - Multiple Open Rank Tenure Track Positions in OR/OM

Job Description Summary

The Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SHUFE), founded in 1917, is a top-ranked, world-renowned research university in Shanghai, China. SHUFE has recruited more than 200 faculty members with oversea PhD degrees in the past 15 years. The School of Information Management and Engineering (SIME) at SHUFE is one of the top research institutes in the area of operations research, optimization, and has attained international recognition. There are several research areas in SIME, including operations research, operations management, mathematical optimization, data analytics and management information system.

SIME invites applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of assistant, associate or full professors in the fields above. The job start date will be February 2021 or September 2021. Evaluation and selection will begin immediately and continue until the positions have been filled.

Preferred Qualifications

• Applications should have conducted quality research in one of the following directions: operations research and operations management (e.g. supply chain management, revenue management, etc.), mathematical programming (e.g., linear and nonlinear optimization, integer programming, distributed and large-scale optimization, etc.).
• Applicants should have Ph.D. degree by the time of appointment, outstanding records in PhD programs, and strong demonstrated potential and interest to conduct research at the forefront of their field.
• Applicants who work on interdisciplinary research, especially on methodology-oriented research or its real applications in data-driven problems will be encouraged.
