The New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority (NJSEA) is a state regulatory agency responsible for zoning and planning, as well as the oversight and management of a transportation planning district, within the 30.3 square-mile Hackensack Meadowlands District in northern New Jersey.
Primary duties of the Senior Transportation Engineer include:
Technical reviews of transportation/traffic plans and traffic impact studies;
Transportation plans and projects including:
Traffic signal design, operation, and maintenance;
Roadway/intersection design and inspection, and
Construction management and cost estimates.
Transportation modeling and planning.
BSCE required. N.J. P.E. license required, along with 5+ years of experience in transportation engineering field. PTOE and IMSA Level 1 or higher preferred. Working knowledge of AASHTO and MUTCD. AutoCAD proficiency required. Experience with HCS, Synchro, and adaptive signal systems preferred.
Applicants must be self-motivated and possess strong verbal, written, organizational and analytical skills. NJ residency required.
