We are currently in need of a Technical Sales Engineer in our Chemical Pulping Group. This candidate will work out of their home office and travel frequently to customer sites. The Technical Sales Engineer will manage, lead, and grow Kadant Black Clawson’s business in the Chemical Pulping arena.
Make every effort to achieve annual bookings goals via focused approach.
Develop and maintain a business plan that ensures the profitability and growth of Chemical Pulping Group products, including heat transfer, recausticizing, and washing activities.
Report current business and support the development of future business for Chemical Pulping.
Develop continuous product development plans and ensure that required support is being provided for sustained long term product technology and service success.
Lead the creation and maintenance of applications standards for all group products.
Oversee the preparation of all capital quotes, ensuring that competitive and differentiated solutions are being offered.
Assist Field Sales personnel in the marketing of Chemical Pulping products. Prepare monthly report detailing results of previous month.
Maintain contact with key customers of Chemical Pulping products.
Assist Chemical Pulping Applications Engineers in their development and training.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. ERP experience preferred.
Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Pulp & Paper Science from an accredited college or university. A strong technical background with a minimum of ten (10) years of sales experience in the pulp and paper industry is also required. Prior mid-level management and leadership experience and capabilities are required.
