Machine Learning Engineer, Groupby USA, Inc (Austin, TX):
Create computer tools and research methods to understand customer behavior in order to develop a personalized recommendation platform and system using implicit collaborative filtering approaches for large e-commerce retailers. Specific responsibilities include: Designing and applying data mining techniques to product data; Exploring, analyzing data and identifying issues in Groupby’s platform, focusing on the e-commerce customer experience; Applying theoretical expertise to invent new models and tools to improve customer experience for retailers; Building models in order to research new methods, running experiments to test methodology; Researching, analyzing and testing new methods and models to develop solutions to Groupby’s platform issues; Running experiments to test the function of new software systems; and Integrating proven methods to run at scale. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research or closely related field plus five years of experience in software development. Or, in the alternative, a Master’s degree in Operations Research or a closely related field. Special Requirements: Must have advanced working knowledge of: (1) Python and SQL; and (2) NLP libraries and deep learning libraries such as Keras and/or TensorFlow; and demonstrated working knowledge of: (1) cloud technologies and cloud services (Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure) as well as microservices architecture; and (2) machine learning fundamentals including machine learning pipelines (i.e. Airflow, Kubeflow, MLflow).
