The Department of Decision and Information Sciences (DISC) in the C. T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston seeks qualified applicants for an open-ranked tenure-track faculty position in Information Systems in the Fall of 2023. Ideal applicants’ experience or research will relate to strategic areas of focus for the Bauer College, particularly related to data management, business analytics, and healthcare administration. Applicants for positions will be boundary spanners within other areas of our department (Operations Management). Experience in mentoring women and minorities in STEM fields is desirable. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related discipline. A hired applicant will have the potential to (a) publish in top-tier and highly respected journals, (b) contribute to the mentoring and development of Ph.D. students and (c) teach graduate and undergraduate courses. Applicants with experience in teaching (or a proven ability to teach) technical IS courses such as Databases, Programming, and Analytics with an emphasis on big data-related methods, will be strongly preferred.
