The Department of Business Information Systems and Operations Management within the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position. The successful candidate for this position will engage in high quality research, teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels, and participate in departmental governance and service activities. Candidates will be expected to develop a research record of publication in top tier journals and a track record of teaching excellence.
The teaching load is highly competitive and will include courses in the interdisciplinary program in Data Science and Business Analytics as well as traditional undergraduate and graduate courses within the Business College.
Service to University, the Public, and the Profession – All tenured and tenure-track faculty are expected to engage in a program of service appropriate to their discipline. Faculty responsibilities and essential functions with respect to service may include but are not limited to: service to the administration and governance of the University, public service, and service to the profession.

Qualifications
The position requires a doctorate in Operations Management or a closely related discipline. All degree requirements are expected to be completed by the time of appointment. Candidates should have begun to establish a record of excellence in both research and teaching, or show evidence of this potential.
Prior teaching experience in operations management is considered a plus. Experience working with diverse student populations is preferred.
