Quantitative Operations Research Analyst. F/T. Columbus, OH. Source investment opportunities aligned to investment criteria & compliance regulations. Build relationships w/ external analysts/researchers. Scrape, warehouse, & sort multiple data feeds. Collect, clean, & analyze data from external sources using advanced statistical, quantitative & network optimization techniques. Leverage existing code to dvlp, enhance, & complete projects. Research & advise on impact of economy & fundamental dislocations on commodity investments; assess competitive sets, mkt costs, demand drivers, absorption, supply/demand dynamics, & economic/demographic trends. Analyze intricacies of commodity fundamentals & business, industry, & economic conditions; dvlp & apply rigorous forecasting techniques & reports for prospective investments. Perform portfolio, valuation, & disposition analysis of commodities. Monitor performance of investments to maximize short- & long-term financial results & achieve growth objectives. Prep daily portfolio-level & detailed investment summary reports on new risk positions; utilize mkt & fin'l analysis, commodity description, & investment rationale; & assist w/ preparation of presentations. Participate in operational evaluations & efficiency improvement initiatives. Create & maintain a detailed in-house Global Supply & Demand Balance. Reqs Master's deg in Science or Operations Research. Foreign equiv/combo of edu & exp is acceptable. Must be familiar w/ a) commodity mkts (e.g., crude, power); b) modeling dynamics related to energy infrastructure (e.g., pipeline & grid networks, power plants, refineries); & c) futures contracts, statistical & optimization models, & machine learning methods. Must also be proficient w/ Bloomberg s/ware, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, & MySQL.
