Position: Assistant Professor Business Analytics (Tenure-Track)
Location: Parkville, MO
Park University’s College of Management and Robert W. Plaster School of Business invites applications for the Full-Time Tenure Track Assistant Professor position in the area of Business Analytics with an emphasis on teaching in the Master of Science in Information Systems and Business Analytics (MS ISBA) program. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to teach for the both the Graduate and Undergraduate programs in Business Analytics.
Primary expectations for this position are to teach blended courses in Parkville, MO and online. Classes in MS ISBA are offered in 8-week sections, and the typical faculty load is 24 credit hours per year. Park Tenure-Track faculty are expected to provide service to the Department, College, and the University as well as conduct research at the appropriate for a teaching-focused university level.
The MS ISBA degree uses a data-driven approach to Business Analytics, which includes topics such as Data Mining, Data Visualization, Predictive Analytics, Digital Marketing Analytics, etc.. Our analytical classes require students to work on hands-on projects using statistical tools, coding and data visualization software.
Minimal Qualifications:
Doctorate Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Engineering, Healthcare Informatics/Analytics, etc.).
Proficiency in the following areas of Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, and related fields.
Teaching experience at the college or graduate level.
Research record at the level expected for the candidate’s academic experience in the areas relevant to the ISBA focus
Knowledge of Python or R, Tableau, and statistical software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in administrative/managerial role in academia or industry
Experience in online curriculum design.
Experience in online teaching using Canvas or other LMS tools.
Industry connections in the area of Business Analytics

Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor position will be responsible for teaching 8 courses (24 credit hours) per academic year predominately on campus in a face to face modality. Park’s business analytics curriculum includes courses in data mining, data visualization, predictive analytics, digital marketing analytics, etc. Students work on applied projects using statistical tools, coding and data visualization software. Specific courses will depend on the candidate’s areas of experience and may include assignments in other related areas of business. The candidate’s teaching load may also include fully online courses.
Opportunities for online course development may also be available.
