Role: Intern/Full Time Employee

As a Product Analyst, you will be working in a start-up style environment building advanced technology products focused on making the world more efficient through optimization. Product Analysts collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to solve B2B stakeholder problems and create value and efficiency through technology solutions. Product Analysts at Optym grow into our Product Manager role.

Essential Functions:

• Understand customers and their problems via product discovery techniques
• Identify and design solutions to address key opportunities in pursuit of business and product outcomes
• Work closely with design and engineering colleagues to deliver value to our customers through new features and functionality in our products
• Use data analysis, critical thinking, and scripting skills to solve complex problems for our customers
• Assist customers through consulting engagements to improve efficiency and create value
• Work with optimization software and help users model and simulate their networks
• Serve as a liaison between the customers and our technical development team
• Wear multiple hats as we bring products from the ideation stage to ultimate delivery to customers

Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Strong Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
• Data Analysis via Excel and Python or R
• Working knowledge of operations research and optimization
• Basic SQL Skills
• Basic Object-Oriented Programming Skills
• Product Discovery Techniques a plus
• Knowledge of SDLC and agile methodologies a plus

Education and Experience

• Only candidates with a B.S. or M.S. in Operations Research or Industrial Engineering will be considered
• Experience in LTL industry is a plus
• Experience in transportation or logistics is a plus
